LED Light Therapy for Anti-Aging Treatment

Last year I attended a SPA Congress in Philadelphia where I had the opportunity to get to know more about the different concepts of beauty and well-being. It is a very interesting event that helped me also to see beauty in a different way.

Visiting booths and watching presentations, I met a company that produces beauty devices with LED technology, which helps to reduce and eliminate wrinkles through collagen stimulation. The good thing about this product is that you can use at home. I watched a presentation and product demonstration of how LightStim for Wrinkles works from LightStim. I will explain how the skin treatment works but I also recommend you visit their web site to read more about its benefits.

There are many benefits; reduces and eliminates fines lines and wrinkles, restores the skin’s youthful appearance and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. You can see visible results after 2 months of treatment, which is the time necessary to get a good result. The more you use it the more your skin will produce collagen giving you even better results.

I got very excited in knowing about the advantages and they have also told me the appearance of my little spider veins would also diminish due to the collagen production in the skin. They recommend continuous use to keep the good results.

I bought the LightStim for Wrinkles hoping that the it would help me treat the spider veins and improve the overall aspect of my skin as I am already over 30 and my skin is not the same anymore. As I bought this beauty device in the event, they gave me two products to use together with the LED treatment. They explained that both products are activated by the light spectrum of LightStim.

The LightStim PhotoSerum – Light Activated Skin Care with Photosomes must be applied on an already cleansed skin. After cleansing, apply a thin layer of the product onto the skin and let absorb for a minute before applying the second product on the sequence, the mask. In order to get better results, you should use both products in this sequence.

The LightStim PhotoSerum has the objective of hydrate, repair, protect, lift and tone due to its following ingredients:

Photosomes (Plankton Extract): Accelerates the natural repair process from UV induced DNA damage. It helps protect the cells of the skin’s immune system and is activated by the light spectrum of LightStim for Wrinkles.

Brestine (Plankton Extract): It helps to fill in and smooth out the furrows and small wrinkles of the skin. Studies show improved appearance of wrinkles lasting up to 6 hours after one application.

Matrixyl 3000: A peptide that helps to stimulate the collagen and elastin production, and has been shown to reduce wrinkle’s surface area by 45%, improving elasticity and tone.

Hyaluronic Acid: A natural substance that helps to preserve youthful, healthy skin, and increase suppleness, elasticity and tone.

Pentavitin: Shown to act as a “moisture reservoir” under dry atmospheric conditions. Helps promote deep. long lasting hydration and improves skin’s barrier function.

Thiotaine: A peptide to oxygenate the skin that helps protect against free radical damage, energize and revitalize the skin for a healthy youthful appearance.

The LightStim PhotoMasque – Light Activated Skin Care with Photosomes it is a facial mask that must be applied after the serum has been absorbed by the skin.

The LightStim PhotoMasque has the objective of hydrate, repair and protect the skin due to the following ingredients:

Photosomes (Plankton Extract): Accelerates the natural repair process from UV induced DNA damage. It helps protect the cells of the skin’s immune system and is activated by the light spectrum of LightStim for Wrinkles.

Pentavitin: Shown to act as a “moisture reservoir” under dry atmospheric conditions. Helps promote deep. long lasting hydration and improves skin’s barrier function.

Sodium PCA: Plays an important role in skin hydration and has been shown to increase the hydration of the epidermis up to 10 times.

Hyaluronic Acid: A natural substance that helps to preserve youthful, healthy skin, and increase suppleness, elasticity and tone.

Glycerin: Natural moisture building substance to promote hydration and soft, smooth skin. It has been shown to maintain the outer barrier of the skin.

Some of the SPAs here in America use a thick layer of the face mask, but I apply a thin layer as I find the product to be a bit sticky. The treatment lasts 30 minutes and every 3 minutes the device beeps to let you know you have to move to another part of your face. It heats up a little but it will not cause any discomfort, actually is quite pleasant and I am able to relax more while doing it. I can do my entire face during 30 minutes of application. Take a look at LightStim web site to find out more about how it works.

Both products do not have fragrance or color dyes. You can also use other products with this beauty device, I used hyaluronic acid serums that worked very well. If you are doing this treatment during the day I recommend you apply a SPF before going out. If you choose to do this at night then you do not have to apply anything afterwards. You can also follow with your beauty routine if you wish to, but you do not need to wash your face after the treatment and if you do you will be loosing some of the products’ properties.

If you ask my opinion about this treatment I will say I loved it!! It worked very well for me and I noticed my fine lines and some of my wrinkles have diminished and I still doing the treatment. I recommend this product also because you can do it in the comfort of your home.

If you have any questions about this wonderful treatment, please leave your comments so we can exchange our experiences.

  1. I am four months pregnant. Before the pregnancy, I was more of a stomach sleeper but now a side sleeper. Can I use my head pillow to support the belly? How soon should I get a pregnancy body pillow? I’m not planning to buy one until I am at least six months pregnant.

    1. Hello Venice,

I can’t help with that question as I don’t know what you should do in this case. I suggest you talk to a doctor about it. Have a sweet day!
